The wealth of the former residents of Houtouwan is still visible in the shape of the houses they’ve abandoned. Most of them are two-stories buildings, with nicely decorated walls and terraces. Today nature is gradually taking over them. Unfortunately I came to soon to witness ivy completely recovering these houses with a green blanket. #houtouwan #ephemera #shengsi #china #documentary
