About to leave Glacier and Montana. I will remember for a long time the human experience I had with the Blackfeet people in Browning . I wasn’t able to take pictures, but for the first time after a long time I lived a really spiritual and contemplative moment. I really needed that in this moment of my journey. Thanks! #glaciernationalpark #ephemera #landscapephotography #travel #documentary

Craig invited me to stay in Browning to attend a traditional Blackfeet sundance cerimony. I’m not allowed to take pictures or videos but, as they say, I will be able to live it “with my head and my heart”. I also get to camp in a real Indian tepee, like these ones I found just outside of Browning. #glaciernationalpark #ephemera #blackfeet #montana #travel #documentary

In Browning I was lucky enough to meet Craig. He is a writer and cultural advisor for movie productions that portray Native American culture. For instance he helped Alejandro Inarritu to portray Indigenous people in a faithful way in the Oscar-winning movie “The Revenant”. I think such a job is really important to preserve cultural heritage in industries that are too often based on clichés or creative reinterpretations. #glaciernationalpark #ephemera #blackfeet #montana #portrait #travel #documentary

After camping for a week in Glacier National Park I wanted to know more about the people that live in the area. Driving east of the park you find the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, where the native Siksikaitsitapi people live. #glaciernationalpark #ephemera #blackfeet #travel #documentary #aerial

Heavens Peak (2740m), which dominates the view West from much of the Going-to-the-Sun road, is the spot where I noticed most of the snowpack still present in late June. #glaciernationalpark #ephemera #montana #mountain #travel #documentary #landscapephotography

Another night shot from Glacier National Park, with Lake McDonald and its scenic background lit by the moonlight. A lot of the water from the park fills its beautiful lakes. #glaciernationalpark #ephemera #landscapephotography #lake #montana #night #travel #documentary

Once temperatures warm in the spring, the snowpack of Glacier National Park begins to melt and brings water to the underlying rivers. Once the snowpack has completely melted, glaciers continue to slowly refill waters. However, with a warming climate, Western Montana is experiencing earlier spring thaws and more precipitation falling as rain instead of snow in the winter, affecting significantly the water level and temperature during the warmer seasons. #glaciernationalpark #ephemera #glacier #climatechange #travel #documentary

Picture from Bowman Lake

One morning, while I walked around Bowman Lake, I met this little fellow. It is actually really easy to meet ground squirrels in Glacier National Park, as well as other wilde life, like black or grizzly bears.
